5 reasons Glass Animals are the “it” band of 2014

Haven’t heard of Glass Animals? Not to worry, you will. Just like you hadn’t heard of Alt-J, then all of a sudden they were everywhere. In the country last week to test the waters with a quick Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane tour, Glass Animals are on track to be the “it” band of 2014. The first to be signed to Paul “everything he touches turns to gold” Epworth’s new label Wolf Tone, they have been toted as a band to watch by pretty much every media outlet in the world, including us.

James Murphy: Schlub, schlenuek and all-around musical genius

James Murphy is a schlub. He is also the founder of DFA Records and, most notably, the man behind the highly-praised LCD Soundsystem, a musical project Murphy created in the early naughties that has since gone on to win friends and awards across the globe. His first album, self-titled LCD Soundsystem, gained the former punk-rocker a 2005 Grammy nomination for ‘Best Electronic/Dance Album’, as did his second critically acclaimed album Sound of Silver in 2007.
